Thanks for following my newsletter. My name is Easton and I write about academia. My perspective in academia is influenced from starting my career as a first-generation and community college student. I want to demystify academia’s hidden curriculum for both myself and others. I am an assistant professor at the University of New Hampshire in the Department of Biological Sciences. I expect most of my posts to focus on issues relevant to those in academia: inclusion and equity, being a new lab leader and assistant professor, and unpacking how universities actually work.
